Weeds are not accepted in your local council's kerbside residual or recycling bin, box or bag. Your local council may offer a free or paid for kerbside green waste collection. Weeds can be recycled at your local Household Waste Recycling Centre.
Garden waste, such as grass cuttings, weeds, prunings and leaves, can be recycled at all of Merseyside's and Halton's Household Waste Recycling Centres. Most councils run a kerbside collection scheme for garden waste - some charge for the service so double check. Don't include bricks, rubble or excess soil in your bin. Home compost bins are available which will enable you to compost at home and some local councils offer a green waste kerbside recycling collection service.
