Paper

Letters

Letters and envelopes can be recycled using your local council’s kerbside recycling bin, bag or box and at your local Household Waste Recycling Centre.

Please ensure that all personal information is removed before recycling.

PAPER FACTS :

  • Paper products are some of the most valuable recyclable materials.
  • It's better if the paper products are clean - so look out for stains such as grease, food, paint, dirt, etc. or any plastics or coatings - they could affect if the paper can be recycled or not.
  • Paper envelopes with clear windows CAN be recycled in your kerbside recycling collection.
  • Shredded paper cannot be recycled as the paper fibre size is too small - this should be placed in your normal waste bin.
