Below is a series of videos looking at some of the currently accepted material groups in Liverpool City Region*, including Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton and Wirral.

Cardboard

Cardboard is one of the material groups accepted via kerbside recycling collections from local authorities in Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton and Wirral.

Drink Cans

Drink cans are one of the material groups accepted via kerbside recycling collections from local authorities in Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton and Wirral.

What’s new? As part of the UK government’s Simpler Recycling legislation, other cans which can now be recycled include aerosol cans (including deodorant and hairspray cans).


Food Tins

Food tins are one of the material groups accepted via kerbside recycling collections from local authorities in Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton and Wirral.

What’s new? As part of the UK government’s Simpler Recycling legislation, other metals which can now be recycled include biscuit tins and foil.

What’s new? As part of the UK government’s Simpler Recycling legislation, other plastics which can now be recycled include plastic food pots, tubs and trays. Aside from additional plastics, other drinks containers which can now be recycled include Tetra Pak cartons.
