Ceramics

Ceramics are not accepted in your local council’s kerbside recycling bin, box or bag.

Ceramics can be disposed of in your local council’s kerbside residual bin.

If it is in good condition you may want to donate it to a local charity, or to one of Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority’s Reuse Shops.

GLASS FACTS:

  • Lots of glass items can be recycled including glass bottles and jars.
  • There are some types of glass such as Pyrex, oven-proof glass and drinking glasses that can't as they are designed to withstand higher temperatures when being recycled.
  • Make sure your glass bottles and jars are empty and rinse out the remaining food or liquid.
  • Put lids back on glass items if possible.
