Hay and straw
Hay and straw is not accepted in your local council’s kerbside recycling bin, bag or box. Small amounts of used and unused hay and straw are accepted at your local Household Waste Recycling Centre – but they must be securely bagged and sealed. *Find out more here: https://www.merseysidewda.gov.uk/waste-recycling/household-waste-recycling-centres-hwrcs/ *(This will open a new website) Small amounts of used and unused hay and straw can also be disposed of in your local council’s kerbside residual bin. Unused hay and straw could be donated to local animal centre or charity.

- Most household waste types can be recycled or disposed of at local Household Waste Recycling Centres.
