Dead flowers are not accepted in your local council’s kerbside residual or recycling bin, box or bag.

Your local council may offer a free or paid for kerbside green waste collection.

Dead flowers can be recycled at your local Household Waste Recycling Centre.

GARDEN WASTE FACTS:

  • Garden waste, such as grass cuttings, weeds, prunings and leaves, can be recycled at all of Merseyside's and Halton's Household Waste Recycling Centres.
  • Most councils run a kerbside collection scheme for green and garden waste - some charge for the service so please check directly in your area.
  • Don't include bricks, rubble or excess soil in your green and garden waste bin.
  • Home compost bins are available to buy which will enable you to compost at home find out more here: www.merseyside.getcomposting.com.
